We have a long history of marketing and manufacturing which spans over two decades. With the production strength of over 400 medicines we are moving ahead for better tomorrow. This is a story of how it all started:
Global Pharmaceutical was established in August 1995. It initiated from a small marketing project whereby finished products were imported from Korea and Malaysia, which were then marketed in the local market. The response to this in the Pakistani market was remarkable.
Hence, Global pharmaceuticals grew from a marketing company to a manufacturing company. The company decided to manufacture all the products instead of importing them. This gave the Pakistani people access to good quality medicines at a cheaper and affordable rate.
In March 1996, Global pharmaceuticals selected plot I/10-3 sector of Islamabad and started the required construction for manufacturing of pharmaceutical products. In a very short time, Global pharmaceuticals achieved its target and in November 1996 , regulatory bodies made a thorough inspection of premises and approved the premises.
The journey continued and the registered products went on increasing. By the year 1999-2000 Global extended from Tablet manufacturing to encapsulation liquid, ointment and inject able products. In 2003, Global Pharmaceutical shifted back to original premises in Humak, which was declared a state of the art facility after successive visits by the Ministry of Health.
Currently the plant consists of a general purpose manufacturing building, a dedicated cephalosporin manufacturing building, and a specialized manufacturing building for the production of Carbapenem manufacturing building in addition to production of solid dosage forms- tablets and capsules. The site also houses a warehouse for raw, packaging and finished goods. Manufacturing and packaging operations are carried out according to the validated methods through systematically qualified machines with full documentation at all stages of operations.
At present the company is registered in Afghanistan, Philippines, Sri Lanka and Vietnam. We are having good business in these countries and are in process of registration of our additional products in Philippines. Registration of our firm & products in Uzbekistan, Kenya and Cuba is also in process.
